One Transport Ticket for Germany

Germany ticket is a transport ticket which can be used for all public transportation everywhere around Germany. The people in Germany call it Deutschlandticket. For some people this ticket is cheaper than the normal monthly ticket. My husband and I have this ticket too and find it good.

The idea of having one transport ticket that can be used for any public transportation in all around Germany was started in 2021 – 2022. The first Germany ticket project was approved. The people in Germany could buy the famous 9 Euro ticket during Summer 2022.

My husband and I were also among the user of 9 Euro ticket. It was totally low priced transport ticket!

With this ticket we can travel everywhere in Germany using regional trains, buses and if available also boats. Can you imagine that this could be done with only pay 9 Euro for one month?

At that time, the ticket was only sold in June, July and August 2022. Of course, we bought the tickets for three months and cancelled our normal monthly ticket which cost us more than 100 Euro.

Did the government offer the same ticket in summer 2023?

The news reported that the 9 Euro ticket was successful. The ticket was sold for more than one million persons. Many people travelled with public transportation all around Germany.

Thankfully, there was another Germany ticket in 2023. However, the price was not the same. The people could pay 9 Euro because the government gave subsidy fund. It was definitely a lot of money.

So, the solution for 2023 was that there was a Germany ticket but the ticket price was 49 Euro. The people should buy it as monthly ticket. We can not buy it in ticket maschine.

It is still cheaper compared to the normal ticket. So, do not forget to buy it for travelling in Germany.
