Wondeo Chikin is our favourite Korean chicken halal restaurant in Berlin. Apart from being halal, the chicken and sauce taste delicious and the spiciness level is just right for our taste buds. With these reasons, it makes Wondeo Chickin as one of the must-visit place to eat when my family and I are in Berlin. You have to come here as well.
Hello traveller,
There are restaurants and small eateries serving Korean food in several German cities. In Hannover, for example, there is one restaurant that sells Korean cuisine complete with barbeque or hot pot options.
The German city I know of that has more than three Korean restaurants is Berlin. In Germany’s capital city, you can find Korean restaurants that serve a full menu as well as smaller eateries that only sell a few items. Some of them serves halal chicken.
Wondeo Chikin in Alexanderplatz serves halal food. They guarantee that their chicken is halal. Although it’s not a big restaurant with a full menu, it’s got 4.5/5 stars on Google reviews. How cool is that?
Wondeo Chickin Berlin
According to the official website, Wondeo Chikin in Berlin is located in three different places. The one I always go to is located in the centre of Berlin, in the Alexanderplatz area. The other two locations are in Charlottenburg and Hohenschoenhausen.
The Alexanderplatz outlet is located at Karl-Liebknecht-Strasse 13. The exact location is inside the building where the large Kaufland supermarket is located.
To reach Alexanderplatz, I think it is very easy because this area is passed by all means of transport. If you take the bus, there is a bus stop on the side of the main road. The tram stop is located in front of Alexanderplatz station and in the centre of the main street.

Menu
As I mentioned above, the menu at this Wondeo Chikin Alexanderplatz outlet is not a complete version of Korean restaurant. That is to say, don’t expect a restaurant with an extensive Korean food menu with a wide range of alternative options.
There is also a choice of chicken type. Whether you want wings or fillet meat. Both taste good. There are also four sauce options with different levels of spiciness.
In terms of price, I think the price is in accordance with the portion and taste. If you don’t eat much, one medium portion can be for two.
Honestly, I never ate on the spot. We often order Korean chicken and other menus to eat at the hotel or to eat while waiting for the train schedule to depart at the station. Maybe it’s because of the food is not a big portion that my husband and I often consider it to be an alternative food choice to bring as lunch on the train. The food also doesn’t have a distinctive strong smell so we don’t worry about disturbing other passengers when eating this food on the train.
My husband likes the spiciest sauce. My son and I prefer a milder spiciness so that the dominant flavour of the sauce is not only spicy but also sweet.

Do not forget to try it if you visit Berlin!
Happy travelling,
Amelia
