Last week was a long weekend in Germany. We went to Frankfurt to visit some friends. One of our friends invited us to stay at their home.
The house is actually located not in Frankfurt. They live in suburban area about 30 minutes from Frankfurt. It is closer to Darmstadt than Frankfurt.
During our stay, they asked us to go to a farm located not far from their house. In this farm, the children can play in the playground for free without time limitation.
To enter te farm, we do not have to buy tickets. The visitor should pay for tickets only when they hold special occasion, for example Halloween week. The ticket is not expensive.
However, we need to follow their rule. The visitor is not allowed to bring their own food and drink. If we come to the farm, we have to buy the food and drink in the restaurant.
Let me tell you about the food and drink!
I suggest you to buy their strawberry drink. My friend bought me this drink and it was so fresh and nice. It was not sweet. I could taste the strawberry perfectly. It was not sour even though they put little bit lemon juice in it.
As we visited Bauer Lipp, it was a hot sunny day. This drink is perfect for this kind of weather. The children can drink it too since it does not contain alcohol.
They offer hot beverages, for example coffee or capucino. You can buy other cold beverages too, such as sparkling water, lemonade and different kind of soft drinks.
We did not have much time to enjoy their food. However, I saw our neighbours ate pizza with different toppings. I smelt fresh toppings and saw really nice pizza bread.
The farm have grillstation. You can order bratwurst, flammkuchen or french fries. We bought french fries or in German we call it, Pommes. It tasted nice and crisp on the outside.
Their soft ice tasted nice. It has vanilla flavour. In my opinion, the ice cream was soft and silky. The portion is also generous for 2.50 Euro. I like it.
So, the children can play on the playground as long as they want it. We, the parents, can enjoy the drink and food as we like. However, keep watch the children while they are playing!
