Playing with sand at Maschsee is possible. The place is nice and comfortable. Not only the adults can go there but children can also have fun in the location.

Last week, I just found out that we can play with sand and sunbathe at Maschsee. The place is nice and cosy for both children and adults. I was surprised. We do not have to go far outside of Hannover again to play with sand.
Hannover has an interesting and fun beach recreation area. I knew that there is an artificial beach in the southern part of Maschsee. The information I had was that the beach was part of a sports club. We can see the logo of the sports club outside the place. So, I assumed that the beach could only accessible to the member of the sports club.
It turned out that I was not the only one with the information. As soon as I uploaded the video of the location on my Instragram account, I got a lot of messages asking where I was. I was not alone.
Sadly, I finally know about the place after years of living in Hannover. This place is a nice place to spend the summer time with my family.
Ticket Price
The entrance ticket price is affordable. Adult ticket is 4 Euro. Children within aged 4 to 18 years old or students pay 3 Euro. Bring your student card to get the 3 Euro ticket. Children under 3 years old are free of charge.
With this ticket, we are allowed to use the facilities on this beach. Certain places that belong to the sports club are not accessible for this ticket. The ticket officer told us which parts of the place we could access. But don’t think the place is small and ugly because the ticket price is cheap.
There is a nice and spacious children’s playground. The grass is green and clean. The sandy beach is clean and wide. There is a big tree that makes one corner of the jado shady.
We were allowed to swim in the lake. At the transition area between the grass and the sand, there are oval posts that turn out to be water fountains for rinsing off. If you want to go to the bathroom, there is also a separate place for men and women. The place is also clean.
Next time you go here, you should be better prepared. You need to bring a representative picnic mat and enough provisions. Do not forget the children’s water play equipment and supplies are also brought along.
In the end, everyone was happy. My guests were happy and the kids and I were happy. Let’s schedule another visit to Strandbad Maschsee.
