Being able to drink bubble tea in Comebuy in Germany is such a great deal, especially if the bubble tea tastes as good as the one I like in Indonesia. Before Comebuy opened its branch in Hannover, Berlin was the closest city where I could buy my favourite bubble tea.
Hello traveller,
When I arrived in Germany more than five years ago, as far as I can remember, there were no bubble tea outlets in Germany. You know how it feels to miss something you really like, don’t you?
At that time, drinking bubble tea was one of the things I missed about Indonesia. Even though I could have made the drink myself, it still tasted different from what I usually drink in Indonesia. Still, the ingredients were not that easy to find too.
When I first found out that there was a bubble tea outlet in Hannover, I was so happy. Finally, I could buy this longed-for drink. This drink outlet could be found at the main station in Hannover. Unfortunately, when I finally bought it, the taste was far from my expectations. Since this outlet was also not a big outlet from a well-known brand like in Indonesia, the taste that is not on the same level as the one in Indonesia, could be forgiven. At least when I wanted to drink bubble tea there was a place that I could easily reach.
Unfortunately, the outlet didn’t last long. I forgot exactly how many years it stayed, but it eventually closed and didn’t reopen. I felt so sad that I couldn’t buy my favourite drink anymore.
Chatime Duesseldorf
I finally found out that a famous bubble tea outlet in Indonesia has a branch in one of the cities in a neighbouring state, North-Rhine-Westphalia. We never had any opportunity to visit Duesseldorf. My husband and I never went there.
Fortunately, the culinary industry in Germany continues to grow. I finally heard about a bubble tea outlet in Berlin that tasted just as good as the one in Duesseldorf. Since Berlin is nearer than Duesseldorf, I was more than happy to visit Berlin and the outlet.
Comebuy
We have never travelled to Berlin specifically to buy bubble tea. Berlin is our favourite destination to eat and drink. However, whenever we go to Berlin, my husband and I always try to stop by Comebuy Berlin.
Comebuy’s drink menu is very extensive. I’ve tried several different types of drinks. However, the ones that I think are the best are Ultimate QQ Milktea, Taro Milktea and Matcha Milktea. All three are I think in the top drinks recommended by Comebuy.
Within the city of Berlin itself, there are more than one Comebuy outlets to be found. We often visit the Alexanderplatz Comebuy outlet. Apart from this branch, there are seven other outlets scattered in various locations in Berlin.
Unfortunately, the opening hours are not 7 days at all outlets. Some of them close on Sundays. The outlets that remain open on Sundays and other holidays are Comebuy in Oranienburger Strasse, Joachimstraler Strasse, and Lichtenberg.
For the price, I think it’s still quite okay. The prices never went up until after the pandemic. Even the price has been increase, it did not double the previous price. This drink are still affordable.
Since before the pandemic Comebuy has opened a branch in Hannover. It’s great that I don’t have to wait for Berlin to enjoy bubble tea. Even though it’s in Hannover, I still stop by Comebuy in Berlin. Especially if I buy Wondeo Chickin Korean chicken which is located next to Comebuy Kaufland am Alex in the Alexanderplatz area.
If you are travelling to Berlin or Hannover and miss drinking bubble tea need not worry. There are outlets in both cities that sell these bubble tea drinks and the flavours are not inferior to those in Jakarta.
Happy travelling,
Amelia
