Culinary Experience in Brussel

Did you know we can have a culinary experience in Brussels that is both filling and fun? This time I will share my experience of eating in Brussels.

Hello traveller,

Last autumn holiday our family went on a trip to Brussels. There we stayed for three days and two nights. With such a short duration, we actually didn’t have enough time to explore Brussels.

Actually, my husband and I have been on holiday to Brussels before. But it was a long time ago. We weren’t even married yet. Therefore, when there was an opportunity to go on holiday to Brussels but could not explore the city to the fullest, there was also a sense of sadness. Hopefully we will get another chance to go back there.

Brussels was only a place to stay on our last holiday. Our main holiday destination was actually outside of Brussels. One day I will share it on this mommytraveller blog.

We allocated the last day to go to the Grand Palace. At least we wanted to meet Manneken Pis. My husband and I took our eldest son to see the famous statue.

The location of the statue in the middle of the city centre made us have to go through the streets in the city centre. On either side of the street, there were lots of shops selling Belgian specialities.

There are several foods that we tried and encountered including: french fries and sauces that have a unique flavour, chocolate and waffles. Hmmmm delicious!

Nearing the end of our trip in the centre of Brussels before heading back to Germany, we stopped by a halal restaurant. The food was delicious and the hot tea complemented the delicious flavours of Brussels’ cuisine.

Do you have any interest to taste that delicious food around the Grand Palace?

Please come and visit Brussel!

Happy travelling,

Amelia
