Bel Chicken, Halal Crispy Chicken in Wuppertal

We were thrilled to find out that there was a halal crispy chicken restaurant in Wuppertal. Although there are many halal restaurants, we decided to eat there. Do you want to know our experience of eating this halal crispy chicken?

In the last few years, finding a restaurant that serves halal food in any German city has become much easier. Google will give you plenty of options whenever you search for halal restaurants in any city in Germany.

Halal restaurants in Germany are very diverse. You can find many options ranging from Turkish food, Arabic food, Lebanese food, Afghan food, Persian food, or even Asian food. Some restaurants retain the original flavours but others do not have the same original flavours. Sometimes restaurants have to compromise with the local taste so that the local people can eat the food.

Crispy chicken was a good choice for us because we have a child. He does not so easily eat something new. So crispy chicken is our help whenever we are travelling.

Bel Chicken Wuppertal

My husband, who was in charge of finding a restaurant to eat in Wuppertal, searched for information while riding the famous cable car (Schwebebahn) in Wuppertal. I will write about the Schwebebahn in Wuppertal later.

I had tried to find information before but to no avail. Since my husband who was the one who searched and chose, we just followed his choice.

He chose a halal restaurant called Belchicken. This restaurant is located in the city centre of Wuppertal. So from the Schwebebahn station in front of the Wuppertal Hauptbahnhof (main railway station), we walked to the restaurant.

I do not think it was a long walk. Again, the restaurant is located in the city centre. It was easy to find. With the help of Google, finding the location was even easier. The address of the restaurant is Robertstrasse 1, 42107 Wuppertal.

The restaurant is right in front of the road crossing. It is strategically located on the side of the main road that leads to the city centre of Wuppertal. With the crossing light over there, it will be easier for people who want to cross the road to eat there.

Belchicken Halal Crispy Chicken Wuppertal

I like the interior design of this restaurant. In my opinion, the other restaurants that serve the same food usually do not offer the same ambience in their restaurants.

If you have the opportunity to come and eat at Belchicken, you will understand what I mean. Once you enter the restaurant, you will find a spacious restaurant with a cosy atmosphere. You can find sofas just like you would find at home. You can sit on the chair next to the bookshelf.

The tables are big and sturdy. Even the lamps are nice. I was inspired by the decoration.

In the corner of the restaurant, you can find a mini playground for children. I saw a slide and a ball pool. Around the playground area, the restaurant provides little chairs and small tables for their child guest.

Culinary: My Chicken Hannover.

The restaurant provides separate toilets for men and women. The toilets were clean and convenient. They are located underground. There is also a place to change diapers in front of the toilets.

Menu

From their official website, I learnt that this restaurant originated in Belgium. In total, there are 49 restaurants spread across Germany, Belgium and France. In Germany, you can also find branches in Düsseldorf and Dortmund.

They do not just have crispy chicken on the menu. You can find burgers containing beef or fish. If you are not a meat eater, they also serve veggie burgers.

Apart from burgers, there are also other foods to be ordered:

• Fried chicken
• Chicken nuggets
• French fries
• Chicken wings
• Chicken bites
• Chicken tenders
• Salad
• Wraps
• Onion rings
• Mozzarella sticks

Besides being able to order this chicken menu individually, a combo or bucket menu is also available. This means that one menu order can consist of various types of chicken. French fries are also included in this kind of menu.

I ordered a children’s menu for my son. He got a box containing burgers, french fries and Caprisone. He liked it and found it delicious.
